The University Leadership Initiative 2 (ULI2) is a NASA grant opportunity aimed at empowering university-led teams to take leadership roles in addressing key technical challenges in aeronautics. The submission process involves two steps. Interested universities must first submit a short Step-A proposal by June 26, 2025. Based on evaluations, selected teams will be invited to submit a full Step-B proposal. All submissions are made electronically through the NSPIRES system.

An applicant workshop will be held on April 30, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. ET to provide more guidance. Those looking to join the initiative as a partner or lead can get listed via the ULI partnerships webpage by emailing the required details to hq-univpartnerships@mail.nasa.gov.
